Three Arrested For Robbery In Ogun State

The Ogun Police command have arrested three men identified as Suleiman Waheed, Mathew Johnson and Isiaka Momoh for robbery.

The state Police Public Relations Officer,  Abimbola Oyeyemi disclosed this in a statement,  adding that the suspects were  arrested on the early hours of Tuesday  while trying to rob one Bello Ibrahim of his motorcycle with registration number GBE 159VZ along Ijebu Ode -Ibadan road.
Oyeyemi explained that the policemen attached to Awa- Ijebu division who were on routine patrol got the information and quickly raced to the scene and were able to arrest the three suspects.
He said the suspects have made confessional statements and the stolen motorcycle has been recovered from them.
According to the PPRO, investigation revealed that the culprits have been terrorising the area for quite some time now.
“The commissioner of police CP Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation.
" The CP further warned that crime and criminality will have no place in Ogun State because the command will not leave any stone unturned in order to rid the state of crime and criminality".
